PARTICIPATING VINTNERS

Winemaker/Founder Phil Long of Longevity Wines

Winemaker/Founder Phil Long of Longevity Wines began his journey making wine in the garage with his wife Debra.  Now with close to two decades of winemaking experience, and a list of awards too long to print, Winemaker Phil continues his journey with the constant of always improving in place. “In the business of winemaking, the minute you think you know it all, it’s time to get out.” The cellar practices and techniques that Phil uses in the production of wine are constantly re-evaluated and improved to ultimately elevate the quality of the wines produced. The grapes are personally sourced and chosen by Phil. “Great wine starts with great fruit, there is no way around that”. Grapes are sourced from only the best vineyards for use in the production of Longevity Wines. Phil began making wine in the Livermore Valley in 2006 under the Longevity label, using other facilities. It was only a matter of time before production was moved from other facilities, to Longevity’s own facility in Livermore.

Bodkin Wines

Bodkin Wines was founded by Chris Christensen, an Iowa native, in 2011. His passion for aromatic wines and winemaking led him to create America’s first Sauvignon Blanc with bubbles. In 2013, he and his partner purchased 24 tons and made 1,100 cases of their award-winning Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc.

Since that time, Bodkin Wines has produced over 15 varietals of wine, eleven of which were scored at 90 points or higher by Wine Enthusiast. They are consistently growing, year after year, but are determined to keep their presence small and unique. Bodkin Wines is located in Sonoma County, California.

“I want to make wine that can be enjoyed in the here and now; Wine for the connoisseurs and for the novices. Bodkin Wines should be enjoyed at family events, momentous occasions, picnics and barbecues — not hoarded in someone’s basement.”

Chris Christensen, Wine Maker & Co-Head Honcho

Theopolis Vineyards

Theopolis Vineyards is a small lot vineyard and hand-crafted winery located in California’s prestigious Yorkville Highlands of the Anderson Valley.  Situated along Highway 128 in southeastern Mendocino County near the border of Sonoma County, the AVA is a highly elevated, rugged interior wine-growing area. Established in 2003, Wine Critic Robert Parker bestowed upon wine made from grapes harvested from Theopolis Vineyards a stellar rating of 94-96 points, a spectacular showing for the vintner’s first harvest in 2006.

Emboldened by the great fruit produced by the land, its owner and founder, Theodora R. Lee aka Theo-patra, Queen of the Vineyards, a bold and dynamic Texan and San Francisco trial lawyer, is now bottling her own award winning wines.  In addition to bottling the richly intense and flavorful Petite Sirah and Rosé of Petite Sirah, Theopolis Vineyards strikes a lighter note by bottling a Symphony, a white wine, which is a crossing of Muscat and Grenache Gris.  Theopolis Vineyards also bottles an Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, a Yorkville Highlands Pinot Noir and a Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir.

Theopolis Vineyards is best known for its Best in Class, Double Gold, 95 Points 2013 Estate Grown Petite Sirah and its Double Gold 2014 Estate Grown Rosé of Petite Sirah. The awards are frequent and too many to list them all. The Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition has consistently given the Estate Grown Theopolis Vineyards Petite Sirah stellar Gold Medals. The San Francisco Chronicle International Wine Competition has bestowed on the 2014 Estate Grown Theopolis Vineyards Rosé of Petite Sirah a stellar Double Gold Medal. The 2013 Theopolis Vineyards Estate Grown Petite Sirah has won a Double Gold Medal and 95 points at the 2016 San Francisco International Wine Competition, which is considered to be one of the most influential wine competitions in the world.
